Eureka

May 27, 2015

N+N-389Photographed in Eureka Springs, AR by Christian Gideon

Raised in:
Spring and Tomball, Texas

Live in:
The booming metropolis of Jasper, Georgia

Favorite thing about our first visit to Eureka Springs, Arkansas:
Above all else, Caroline’s cousin’s wedding! It was awesome to see the famous Thorncrown Chapel – it’s so beautiful and impressive. The town itself is an odd one with it’s haunted hotels and quirky shops. As for the few places we visited, The Ozark Mountain Taproom was our favorite (go figure). It had a good selection of Arkansas beers and just about every one we tried was delicious!

Now would ya look at that:

On Caroline…

  • Kate Spade ‘Lady Marmalade’ studs.
  • Necklace and romper from Jackie’s in New Orleans (in Jackson Square).
  • Banana Republic wedges.

On Mark…

  • Custom TRIO jacket.
  • Brooks Brothers shirt, purchased at Goodwill Buckhead for a whopping $5.
  • Tie by Kirk Stafford who is now the man behind Belfry Shoes.
  • Nelson Leather Company belt (a great spot in Eureka Springs if you forget to pack a belt).
  • Dockers Alpha Khakis.
  • Johnston & Murphy ‘Clayton’ double monks.

Back Down South Shop

Hudson Sutler Oahu Commuter Duffel
(on sale for $85)

We’ve been Hudson Sutler fans since the minute we discovered them. And as you’ve seen here before, we’ve also been Huckberry fans since the minute we discovered them.

I recently chatted with Grant Hewitt, the man beehind Hudson Sutler, and we thought it would be fun to collaborate with a little travel series this summer on Back Down South. Mark and I use their bags on the regular, and I’m traveling quite a bit this summer around the South and beyond. I wanted to photograph their Weekender duffels taking trips with me. This idea grew into one of my favorite oppurtunites I’ve had to date: curating a shop on Huckberry.

Over the next few months, I’ll be adding products to the shop (stay tuned on Instagram, FB, Twitter), as well as photographing some of my favorite ones that go on the trips with me. The shop is filled with items that I think are perfect for summer travels and adventures, so click the image below to check it out and do some shopping!

a

Special thanks to Hudson Sutler and Huckberry for providing some products for us to use on our travels.

Rawson 405Photographed in Douglasville, GA

Raised in:
Columbus, Georgia

Lives in:
Peachtree City, Georgia

Favorite weekend getaway spot in the South:
Our family cabin at Lake Martin, Alabama. It’s my husband’s favorite place in the world and so I guess he rubbed off on me because when I think about the place where I feel the most relaxed and yet the most at home, it’s there. No agenda, great food and drinks and few activities besides moving from the dock to the boat to the dinner table…just peaceful, yummy and beautiful…

Tell everyone about Grammarcy (her full-service design print paperie):
Grammarcy is my first child. Born out of a love of weddings, it became a way for me to discover a style of my own and literally put it on paper. I work out of a home studio where I get to design and print everything from save the dates, birth announcements, wedding or shower invitations to cocktail napkins and koozies. I get to work with brides, mothers, industry professionals and lots in between. It daily allows me to be creative, be inspired and see new depths of God’s faithfulness to me all while allowing me to be at home with my greatest treasures (daughters Alice, Bess and Suzanna…and husband Baker too ;)

Now would ya look at that:

  • Target sunglasses.
  • Necklace from Laurie Anne Kendrick’s ‘Beloved Collection’.
  • Banana Republic dress.
  • Michael Kors heels.

7 IN 7 | ANDRE | DAY 5

May 8, 2015

Best meal you’ve had in the last year:
It’s very hard to play favorites, but my wife has cooked dishes this year that makes it hard to enjoy even the memory of eating out anywhere. She’s Italian decent and does delicious pasta. She’s also a born and raised New Englander who makes a killer New England Clam Chowder from scratch. I have been to some great restaurants too so there are just too many options to choose from. A lot of people think that eating out so much wouldn’t be possible financially but that’s just not the case. I often like to treat myself to a nice meal out because I budget for it and have got the AMEX Gold Card which is the best option for people like me who like dining out. It’s a privileged situation to be in where I’ve eaten so many great meals that I can’t decide or remember what my favorite was. If you want to be like this too then just make some healthy changes to your budget to be able to afford it and maybe look into getting that AMEX card.

Now would ya look at that:

  • Ray-Ban tortoiseshell clubmaster sunglasses.
  • John Varvatos pea coat.
  • J.Crew chambray shirt.
  • 7 for All jacket and jeans.
  • Cole Haan ‘Lenox Hill’ waterproof Chelsea boots.

What you’re listening to most this week:
My children. I’ve been listening to them mostly this week. But for music, I’ve heard this song non stop that my 2-year-old daughter keeps wanting played over and over. She loves it and raps along. It’s “Martinelli’s” by Wordsplayed featuring Andy Mineo.

Now would ya look at that:

  • Ray-Ban tortoiseshell clubmaster sunglasses.
  • H&M slim fit blazer (similar).
  • H&M sweatshirt.
  • J.Crew OCBD.
  • 7 For All Mankind naturally distressed ‘Slimmy’ jeans.
  • Converse Jack Purcell sneakers.

What most inspires your fashion:
Inspiring others to look their best. It’s been said that “dressing well is a form of good manners,” and I agree. Among other greater virtues, being well dressed is rather polite.

Now would ya look at that:

  • John Varvatos pea coat.
  • YSL Italian wool scarf.
  • Banana Republic sweater.
  • J.Crew OCBD.
