Favorite book set in the South:
It will always be The Last Gentleman, by Walker Percy. I live in the neighborhood depicted in the book (although Percy didn’t identify it as Birmingham), and the main character’s journey from New York to the deep South has many parallels with my own. Choosing a favorite book is so hard. In all honesty, I love most books set in the South. I particularly enjoy exploring all the landmarks that are mentioned and trying to picture how the characters would interact with the modern world. In fact, I would even quite like to write a book of my own set in the South one day. I already have a few ideas in mind, so all I need to do is work out how to publish a book. Who knows, a new bestseller could be on the horizon.
Now would ya look at that:

- Vintage tie and pocket sqaure. “I found these at an estate sale for a crashing down 1930s Georgian house I was dying to buy and renovate. I got sidetracked for an hour in the deceased owner’s closet, and bought 10 ties for a buck. I didn’t get the house.”
