I haven’t owned a bottle of perfume since middle school. I’m not anti-perfume, I just stopped asking for bottles of Abercrombie 8 in my stocking, and I never looked back.

Until now.

The Dallas based, UGA grads of EastWest Bottlers, responsible for Moonshine, have put out their second fragrance, Speakeasy. With no experience picking out scents from a bottle, let the gentlemen describe it for you: an intoxicating aroma with notes of pink peppercorn, white moss, sapphire gin (favorite part!), patchouli, and savory nutmeg. Yes, please! When I received my beautiful bottle in it’s wooden box, I awkwardly sprayed it on my wrist (this is how you test it, right?) and sniffed. I’m officially into perfume again.

    I ordered a sample of Speakeasy and Moonshine and let me tell you, both are amazing! Speakeasy is unlike any perfume that I have ever worn and I love how Moonshine smells on my hubby. This Southern girl would love to win a bottle.

    I am a middle school teacher, an alpaca farmer, and I live in a barn down south. Pretty sure I’m just the right amount of classy for this musky and intoxicating scent. I win. Thanks.

    Hi, I am from the 1920s and I have time traveled here to 2012 to inform you that this perfume is the real deal. That sapphire gin is hard to come by back in the ’20s. Lucky you to be able to make perfume that smells like it!

    I am so glad that this fragrance company was started by UGA grads. I am always proud of my school, and even more so when I hear a success story of a graduate from here. The bottle is beautiful, and I sure it smells divine. I really hope I am lucky enough to win, so that I can keep Athens smelling classy.

    Really love the prohibition theme they have going on with this. I’m tempted to order a bottle having never smelled it. (normally I’m not that brave!) The description sounds that good. Now come up North, already!

    Can’t wait to surprise my fiancé with Moonshine for Christmas and would love to try out Speakeasy myself. Went to high school with one of the creators and couldn’t be more proud of all he’s accomplished so far. Highly recommend his cookbook “Have her over for dinner” to any southern gent (or really any guy).

    I have to echo the other commenters..the bottle and packaging are beautiful. The scent you described sounds equally amazing! I never stray too far away from my beloved Kiehl’s musk oil, but i just might for Speakeasy! Thanks!

    I need this!! I have been waiting for what seems an eternity to like you find a replacement for my high school Abercrombie 8. It just didnt seem right on a 26 yr old. But that beautiful bottle…It is a need not a want.

    I’m super in love with bottle and the packaging and I’ve never had a scent that has those notes in it. They sound absolutely fabulous.

    I love the Moonshine fragrance for men. The smell of it makes me tingle just like a shot of Tennessee moonshine. If Speakeasy is anything like Moonshine, I know I’ll be hooked <3
