Living in the hills just outside of Austin, we have lots of fireworks celebrations to choose from. Instead of picking just one, we watch them all! We climb on the roof, put out a few blankets and pillows, crack open a bottle of wine, and watch the dozen or so we can see from our roof! Country life in America is PRICELESS!

Going to New Buffalo and being at the lakehouse on Lake Michigan. There is no place like it and my favorite thing to do on July 4th. It’s like The Hamptons except better and not quite as cold weather. If you’ve never been I highly suggest planning a vacation there.

  16. Dom says

    July 8, 2013 at 3:07 PM

Thanks for the opportunity. If you’re not outside (backyard, ballpark, beach, don’t matter) on the 4th, you’re doing it wrong.

  17. Casey says

    July 8, 2013 at 12:08 PM

The 4th of July just isn’t a celebration without grilling all the meat and vegetables you can find, and then topping it all off with cold watermelon.

  18. Megan says

    July 8, 2013 at 11:48 AM

The best way to celebrate the 4th is at summer camp (even if you’re the counselor)! Bomb-pops for breakfast, water games and swimming all day, and the most patriotic parade and fireworks you’ll ever see. Celebrating America with Kanakuk Kamps is a memory no kid (or counselor) could ever forget.

  19. Christine says

best way to spend 4th of July is
cooking out in Pennsylvania by the dock of the lake
    with friends and family.
playing games and sharing story’s then at night getting into the boat and heading out on the water with the night sky above and the stars shining .. and then the fireworks out over the water … all nice and warm cuddling with the one you love …
