Brandon

Ombres-WedPhotographed in Savannah, GA

Raised in:
Mountain Brook, Alabama

Lives in:
New Orleans, Louisiana

Favorite spot in Savannah:
That’s tough!  I saw so much, so quickly. Everything is beautiful and magical there, not unlike New Orleans. If I had to pick, it might be Dept. 7 East because I got to pause for a moment to appreciate Savannah before the wedding weekend. The cold rosé, great company, and Croque with pimento cheese was a perfect intro to Savannah.

Now would ya look at that:
I declared Brandon the “best dressed wedding guest” at this wedding.

  • KREWE du optic sunglasses (L•G•D).
  • Brooks Brothers bow tie.
  • Vintage private label Parisians blazer. “Parisians is a department store that was founded in Birmingham, and that everyone misses dearly.”
  • Ralph Lauren shirt.
  • Tag Heuer watch.
  • Southern Creed iPhone case (King Cotton pattern). “Her stuff is locally designed, locally made, and locally awesome. Mint Julep pocket squares and Okra cocktail napkins? Yes, please.”
  • J.Crew pants.
  • Paul Smith socks.
  • Cole Haan loafers. “They’re great because I don’t worry about ruining pricey loafers splashing through New Orleans puddles.”

Headless

June 13, 2014

JayLindsey-014Photographed in Atlanta, GA

Raised in:
Him: Alpharetta, Georgia
Her:
Powder Springs, Georgia

Lives in:
Atlanta, Georgia

Favorite Atlanta date spot:
Him: JCT.  It’s got everything you need – great atmosphere, a patio bar upstairs, supper downstairs, and we can walk home…
Her: Alfredo’s on Cheshire Bridge. The place is like a time capsule into early ’80s Italian-American nostalgia, complete with endless framed Godfather-esque headshots and various imperial bottles of house reds in the corner of each booth. The Veal Picata is perfect. It’s cheesy, but still romantic. We go once a month.

Now would ya look at that:
More photos of these two coming next week.

On Him…

  • Zegna TwentyFourSeven blazer.
  • Ledbury dress shirt.
  • Incotex trousers. “No break + 2″ cuff = perfect.”
  • Ralph Lauren engraved buckle and belt.
  • Allen Edmonds black shell cordovan tassel loafers.

On Her…

  • Dolce Vita dress and Diane Von Furstenberg heels.

Spring, Texas

Lives in:
Atlanta, Georgia

What you loved most about your first visit to Charleston:
I loved Charleston because it’s a city centered around being outside. Every porch, courtyard, beachfront, sidewalk, and bike path invites you to experience life in the great outdoors. After the longest winter the south has seen in a long time, it was the perfect weekend.

Now would ya look at that:

  • Ray-Bans.
  • Madewell dress.
  • Thrifted Ralph Lauren clutch.
  • Elaine Turner wedges.

What you love most about visiting The South:
Warm nights. I know that seems simple, but it is freezing at night in San Francisco.

The Boat Short.

Now would ya look at that:

You may recognize him from this CNBC interview…

TJ

May 22, 2014

TJBlogPhotographed in Atlanta, GA

Raised in:
Thomasville, Georgia

Lives in:
Atlanta, Georgia

Why you started Onward Reserve:
We wanted to provide one destination where all of our favorite brands could be shopped. We also wanted to provide a clean and convenient online destination to shop these brands. We have always had an interest in the stories behind the brands and we are thrilled to be our customers trusted advisor as we curate gifts and apparel for the Onward Reserve lifestyle.

Favorite thing about the Atlanta shop:
We were able to use some brick that was re-claimed from an old Neel Reid building in downtown Atlanta to line the walls. This brings in some local history and also helps to bring character to our newest retail home.

What’s next for the company:
We are excited to be opening in Charlotte, North Carolina in June. We are already under construction and will be open by the end of June.

Now would ya look at that:
Meet TJ Callaway, Co-Founder + CEO of Onward Reserve.

  • “My favorite Onward Reserve brand shirt from this Spring.”
  • “The coolest thing about my outfit is the new Shinola Watches that we just picked up. They are all handmade in Detroit.”
  • Martin Dingman ‘Julian’ alligator belt.
  • 7 for All Mankind jeans.
  • Martin Dingman ‘Pierson’ penny loafers.
  • Not pictured – Peter Millar Summer Comfort Boxers.

Austin, Part II

May 15, 2014

Austin-001Photographed in Atlanta, GA

Raised in:
Kennessaw, Georgia

Lives in:
Atlanta, GA

Favorite southern designer:
Sid Mashburn. To me, Sid brings out the best of both worlds in design – Southern and Italian. Everything he designs is really classic and effortless. He has everything from the basics to Italian made suits, both of which you can wear today and ten years down the road and it will still be relevant. Another reason he’s my favorite southern designer is because he also pulls a lot of his style from Gianni Angelli, who is a personal style icon for me along with his grandson Lapo Elkann.

Now would ya look at that:
See also: Austin’s first appearance.

  • Ray-Bans.
  • J.Crew chambray shirt (similar).
  • Timex watch with form•function•form watchband.
  • A.P.C petite standard selvage denim.
  • Vans for J.Crew.
  • Tattoos by Miguel Olascuaga at Live Free Tattoo in Grant Park.

Summer plans you’re most excited about:
Days at Lake Lanier at our friend’s lake house.

Now would ya look at that:
Before we attended a wedding at the historic Twelve Oaks in Covington, Georgia.

  • Ray-Bans.
  • Pocket square found at Hanna’s Antiques in Birmgingham.
  • Gitman Bros tie.
  • Custom TRIO suit and shirt (details) – his 31st birthday gift.
  • Vintage  hand-me-down Seiko quartz watch from Caroline’s dad.
  • Allen Edmond ‘McAllister’ wingtips.
  • No socks. Our tip for sockless comfort has always been these Aldo inserts. We both keep a pair in pretty much all of our shoes. We are, however, really interested in checking out Gekks…
